Give this a read if you work remote...and definitely read it if you are (or aspire to be) a digital nomad!
Eliminate, Simplify, Automate, Delegate
Regardless of whether you are an employee, a contractor or freelancer, or if you run your own business; it is a near guarantee that you waste time & energy each week on things that could be eliminated….
….or could be simplified….
….or could be automated….
….or could be delegated.
If anything came to mind when you read those last few words, those are strong candidates to run through this framework.
Doing so gives you a moment to consciously decide how to handle each thing better moving forward
If you don’t know where to start, check this resource for how to use technology to automate in multiple areas of personal & business life.
From there, consider the things you could delegate to an assistant of some sort.
At the very least, most remote workers could stand to benefit by using a low cost hourly virtual assistant, even if only for a couple hours per week or per month.
How To Build A Balanced, Healthy Life As A Digital Nomad
The benefits of the nomadic lifestyle truly are appealing:
The ability to work from anywhere
Experiencing new people, places, and cultures
Choosing your environment dynamically for your preferred climates, activities, etc
And so little more!
While we kid with that last one, it is true that the list of things you need to consider in order to live a sane, balanced, healthy life as a nomad goes on & on....
Some things on the list are positives & others are negative aspects of the lifestyle.
Not only is this life not for everyone, but there are SO many factors to consider that it can be hard to even know if it is right for you.
Between planning and travel logistics, finding work that fits into the logistics of a nomadic life, handling your budget, & so much more; it can be daunting to even think about.
